United Methodist Women
United Methodist Women
The United Methodist Women is an organization of church women whose purpose is:
- to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ
- to develop creative, supportive fellowship
- to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church
First United Methodist Women is open to any woman, church member or not, who indicates a desire to belong and participate in the global mission of the church. There is no requirement to join a sub-group (circle) to be an active member of the United Methodist Women. However, there are nine circles (described below) of women who meet once a month to promote the work of the United Methodist Women in a variety of ways. General Unit meetings are held quarterly, when all meet together for fellowship and a program. Contact Joyce Moxley, UMW President or Alice Kunka
