Survey Says - Observations from the 2006 Congregational Survey
- 68% of the respondents said their relationship with God and Jesus Christ had grown over the last two years.
- “Outreach” is rated as the area with greatest opportunity for improvement, as well as the “single thing in which FUMC can be best at in our community.” Cary and the Triangle ranked the highest for geographic preference for outreach.
- There is keen interest in enhancing the number of small group opportunities and special events in the church.
- Stopping hunger and developing programs that equip us to care for aging family members represent the greatest needs in our community AND in which FUMC could make a significant positive impact.
Survey Says - Top-Rated New Ideas from the 2006 Congregational Survey
- Offer more church-sponsored small group studies
- Offer more special events at church (speakers, concerts, family activities, etc.)
- Create an enhanced FUMC website (more features, interactivity, multi-media, resources, etc.)
- Offer more family-centered ministries that allow the entire family to worship and/or participate together
- Offer more places for gathering in informal ways
