What is my part?  What is God expecting from me?"

Sacrificial giving has a unique meaning to every member, but at its heart, it calls us to move beyond annual giving. It implies personal reflection, reassessment, and reallocation.  Sacrificial giving is regular giving, —and more. Consider Samuel’s words in 2 Samuel 24:24: "I will not offer as a sacrifice to God that which costs me nothing."

The IMAGINE Capital Stewardship Campaign embraces the significance of giving from our lives as well as from our financial resources. Pray that every household will seek God's will through prayer and careful contemplation. Please allow God to direct your hearts and minds. Before the decision is made, our question should be, "Where is Christ in this decision?" For many in this community First United Methodist is their safe harbor, their lifeline. We must unlock the doors of our abundance to see the genuine joy of giving and the powerful significance of our gifts.

As I seek to be a faithful steward of all I have received from Your hand, may I keep these questions foremost in my mind:

“Teach me, O generous God, what it means to be a steward of Your treasurers.  Amen.”
