Connect with God, People, and Service

Service

Sunday 8:25 am, 9:45 am and 11:05 am in the Sanctuary; approximately 1 hour every third month 4th - 7th graders are trained to participate in worship services as acolytes. The lighting of candles is an important Christian symbol of God’s presence and also a symbol of our call as Christians to be a light in the world. Acolytes may also assist in the service in other ways. Training is offered. Contact Kris Gustafson at kriscrops@mindspring.com.

Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts

Pack meetings every fourth Tuesday. Troop meetings every Tuesday night. Fellowship Hall Cub Scout Pack 200 is an active and dynamic unit of strong leadership, friendship and purpose! Our motto, “On the Move!” says it all. Our boys strive to gain the life skills necessary to become excellent citizens and progress onto the Boy Scouts of America. Every year our boys are active in community service projects that have included planting trees in the area, participating with partner groups to develop stronger community ties, and sponsoring an annual food drive for the NC Food Bank. We are committed to the Scouting way of life by providing “boys and young adults an effective educational program designed to build desirable qualities of character; to train in the responsibilities of practicing citizenship; and to build personal fitness.” Cub Scouting welcomes all boys from the 1st through the 5th grade. Pack 200 is sponsored by the Young Men’s Bible Class at FUMCC. For Boy Scouts: Contact Gantt Edmiston for Cub Scouts: Contact Todd McIntyre at 919-461-8558 or tmcintyre@mindspring.com.
