OutreachOperation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. This program provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on mission project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas-Jesus Christ, God’s greatest gift. Along with shoe box gifts, millions of children are given Gospel booklets in their own language.
You can donate items for boxes, fill and wrap boxes and donate them &/or bring out the whole family and join us at the prayerful packing party to create additional boxes.
*For the first two weeks of November, crosses will be at the bottom of the ramp to the fellowship hall and at the entrance to the Nursery that have Operation Christmas Child tags on them. Please grab a tag and follow the instructions to fill the box for a special boy or girl this year.
*Look for bins stationed in the Templeton Building where you can deposit donated items (see gift suggestions list below for ideas).
*Operation Christmas Child collection week is November 14-20, 2011 - this is when you bring in your filled boxes to the church.
*Bring your filled boxes or donated items for the shoeboxes to room 122 in the Templeton Building - the Children's Ministry Workroom during collection week.
*The Prayerful Packing Party will be on November 20, 2011 from 1-3 in the gym where we will pack & wrap additional boxes using items donated. It's fun for the whole family!!
