Small Talk: During the traditional school year calendar, we continue to emphasize our core values and find inspiring ways to introduce young children to Jesus with the Nursery through 5^th graders at Small Talk. We meet at 6:30 in designated children’s rooms while the adults attend the corresponding Table Talk program. Wednesday evenings of Table Talk and Small Talk are exciting because there is specially designed curriculum which delivers the corresponding Small Talk lesson  - the same as their parents are hearing at Table Talk! at the child’s developmental level. This is accomplished through large group praise music, teaching Biblical truths and interactive games, crafts and take homes for parents that help the children apply the lessons to their daily lives. Now families can sit around the dinner table and discuss the scripture lesson of the week – powerful stuff!  To register for dinner and/or Table Talk and Small talk, click here: Fellowship Feast 2011-2012 .

Nurturing a family’s faith is more than a Sunday morning and Wednesday night activity. It’s a 24 hour a day – 365 day per year commitment, and we want to be your partner and resource throughout your child’s life in developing your family’s core values and fostering your child’s growth in God. The following workshops are held regularly throughout the year. Each workshop includes a follow up presentation in the parent’s service of choice, to focus the family on the importance of their commitment and to engage the congregation in actively praying for and supporting these families.

–      First Steps: Birth to 2 years old - Class covers blessings, prayers, spiritual future and how to develop/communicate family values, Methodist teaching on Baptism.  Workshops will be held on October 6th at 5p, February 9th at 5p and June 7th at 5p in room 118.  Please register ahead of time at Event registration on the fumc-cary.org main page.  Childcare is available.

–      My First Bible: Preschoolers - Class covers sharing faith, reading a picture bible to children, parenting issues and how to develop/communicate family values.   Workshops will be held on October 15th at 4p and October 13th at 5p in room 118.  Please register ahead of time at Event registration on the fumc-cary.org main page.   Childcare is available.

–      Wonderful Worship: TK/Kindergarten- Class covers importance of worship/devotions, power of music and how to teach traditional worship songs and how to develop /communicate family values.  Workshops will be held January 14th at 4p and January 19th at 5p in room 118.  Please register ahead of time at Event registration on the fumc-cary.org main page.    Childcare is available.

–      Servant’s Heart: 1^st – 2^nd graders - Class covers stewardship, Jr. FPU, service, gifts and how to develop/ communicate family values.  Workshops will be held January 21st at 4p and January 19th at 5p in room 118.  Please register ahead of time at Event registration on the fumc-cary.org main page.   Childcare is available.

–      Searching His Way for Me - 3^rd grade Bibles: 3^rd graders - Class covers understanding the Bible, why it is important for the family to have personal bible reading, how to use the bible for personal devotions and how to develop/communicate family values.  Workshops will be held September 8th at 5p and September 10th at 4p in room 118.  Please register ahead of time at Event registration on the fumc-cary.org main page.   Childcare is available.

–      God’s Plan for Us in Middle School: 4^th- 5^th graders - Class covers “God’s plan for me!” focus on honor, faithfulness, courage, sexuality and handling peer pressure.  Workshop is on March 10th from 1p-4p in the Fellowship Hall.   Please register ahead of time at Event registration on the fumc-cary.org main page.
