Discipleship Opportunities for Youth

Chrysalis
Chrysalis “Flights” (for 10th through 12th graders) are three-day events. This three-day spiritual renewal time provides an opportunity for youth to learn more about faith, to experience Christian love and support, and to make new faith commitments. The point is to inspire, challenge and equip you for a closer friendship with Christ and for Christian action at home, church, school, and community.

Confirmation: Claim the Name for Middle School Students
We encourage every middle school student at FUMC to join the confirmation journey!
Confirmation makes firm our baptism and is foundational to the life of faith in Christ. By Confirmation Sunday, each student is ready to confirm his or her faith and confidently claim the name Christian. Learn more >

Discovery
Discovery is a spiritual growth weekend experience for youth in grades 7-8. Supported by the Upper Room, Discovery is similar to Emmaus or Chrysalis weekends with the exception that the retreat takes place inside a local church setting. Contact Dawn Woody.

Sunday School Classes
Sunday school classes are available for youth in grades 7-12. Classes meet Sunday morning from 9:45-10:45 for fellowship, Bible study and discipleship training. Contact Kelley Stephens at 362-1011.
