Introduction to Choral Singing
A small group opportunity in a series of sessions to introduce interested people in finding their voices. If you like to sing but are unsure of singing in a choir, or if you are in the choir but desire to know more, come join us. Four one-hour sessions will be offered in the fall and winter.   Contact David Marlette.

VOCAL AND INSTRUMENTAL CHOIRS

Adult Choirs
Sings at the 8:25, 9:45 & 11:15 services. Practice: Wednesday, 7:30 - 9:00p.m. or Thursday, 6:30p.m. – 8:00p.m. in the choir room. Contact David Marlette.

CFX
An energetic, upbeat praise band which focuses solely on music which allows the modern day worshiper at FUMCC to experience God through song, prayer and intimate worship. They lead the worship segment of Celebration!, FUMCC’s contemporary service. Practice: Wednesdays, 7:00 - 9:30p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. For adults 18 and over. Skills needed: musical instruments; vocal harmony. Training is offered. Contact Brent Hubbell.

Chapel Singers
This is a small group founded in 1978 as a folk music choir. Since then, they have added contemporary arrangements of Christian and gospel music. (Limited enrollment) Contact David Marlette.

Elderberry Jam
For active aging adults who love to sing for fun. We sing a mixture of sacred and secular old favorites. Come jam with us the first Thursday, at 11:00a.m. at Woodland Terrace beginning September 6, or the third Tuesday at 10:00a.m. at Glanaire beginning September 18. Contact Patti Cook.

Joyful Noise Choir
Sings at the 9:45 service. Practice: Practice: Wednesday, 7:30 - 9:00p.m. or Thursday, 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the choir room. Contact David Marlette.

Methodaires
A men’s quartet that sings primarily traditional gospel music (limited enrollment). Contact David Marlette.

Sonrise Band
(Limited enrollment) A group that provides praise and worship music for Sunday worship, the Easter Sunrise service and community events.

String Ensemble
A fun group that practices weekly to sharpen their skills and praise God in worship several times during the year. Contact Ted Wagner.

Wesley Brass
An instrumental ensemble composed of 4 - 6 brass, timpani and occasionally woodwind players. They accompany the vocal choirs in worship services several times during the year. They have a limited membership, but “standby” players (preferably with some limited solo experience) are sought. Rehearsals are held “as needed,” usually at one or two choir rehearsals prior to a performance. Contact Buddy West.

BELL CHOIRS

Carillon Ringers
A hand bell choir for adults with prior experience. Practice: Wednesday, 6:30 - 7:30p.m. in the Sanctuary. Contact David Marlette.

Covenant Ringers
Mix of adults and youth with and without hand bell ringing experience. Practice: Thursdays, 5:00 - 6:00p.m. Contact John Drymon.

Intergenerational
Mix of adults and youth with hand bell ringing experience. Contact John Drymon.

Spirit Ringers
Handbell program for adults with no prior experience. Practice: Thursdays, 9:30 - 10:30a.m.Contact Barbara Marley.
