Appalachia Service Project
YOU Can Help Change Lives!Appalachia Service Project (ASP) is a hands-on ministry whose goal is two-fold: repairing homes and transforming lives. This summer over 130 volunteers, mostly youth, from FUMCC will travel to the mountains of Appalachia to help make homes warmer, safer, dryer and more handicapped-accessible. All will be walking for a week in Jesus’ footsteps. None will walk away from the experience unchanged. ASP lays the groundwork for a lifetime of service that will benefit not just those living in poverty in Appalachia today, but also these young people themselves, our church and the world for years to come.
