Stephen Ministers Commissioned for Service
Ginny Davis, Ann Leary, Sybil Roach, Elaine Shoaf, Carolyn Wertz, and Bobbie Williams were commissioned July 11th to begin their service as Stephen Ministers. All active Stephen Ministers were present, Betty Bennett had a devotion and reading, Ruth Conner played “Blest Be the Tie That Binds” and “Here I Am, Lord” on the piano. Rev. Hamm officiated the commissioning and communion service.Thank you to the families who have supported the new Stephen ministers as they have prepared for this mission. Please keep these persons in prayer as they begin their supportive work with care receivers.

Stephen Ministry is a confidential, one-on-one, distinctively Christian caregiving ministry offered to members of our congregation and the community. Stephen Ministers serve for a minimum of two years, which includes 50 hours of training followed by monthly supervision and continuing education meetings. You could benefit from a caring relationship with a Stephen Minister if you have lost a loved one, are ill or in the hospital, are going through a separation and divorce, have lost your job, and a variety of other situations. Stephen Ministers are caregivers who know that only God is the curegiver. If you are hurting, please consider letting a Stephen Minister join you on your journey toward wholeness.
